Sell the Data Transport Agent
The Data Transport Agent may be rebranded and onsold by third parties. We already
have several successful companies either selling their own brand of the Data Transport Agent,
or selling a customized extension. The Data Transport Agent
is supported by a customization module which provides total control over every aspect of the system:
- Brand the software with your own header images
- Give the software a new name, for example 'Company ABC Invoice Transfer System'
- Restrict use of the software until a certain date
- Restrict modules (File Transfer, FTP Transfer, Database Synchronization) you would
like your users to have access to - including any modules you create yourself
- Enter your own support and contact information for the About Screen
- Limit the number of transports a user may create
- Create skins using Simple Mode, a clean and powerful system for running a single transport on a computer
How Does It Work?
The power of the customization lies in the Skin File. Whenever the Data Transport Agent is installed,
it checks for a Skin File, and prompts the user to install one if there are none available. The default skin file
for the Data Transport Agent showcases the majority of the software's features - you will recall installing it when
you originally installed the Data Transport Agent.
When you become a reseller, we give you access to our Skin Management System, allowing you to create your own Skin (*.ski) Files to
pass on to your customers
